Important: If the Edit or Remove Picture button is dimmed (not available), your organization has turned off the option that allows users to change their picture settings. See your technical support staff if you have questions about this policy. On your My account page in your Office 365 account, click the Upload photo link and browse to the photo you want to use. Select your photo and click Save. Hide your photo. Click Hide my picture.
The profile picture is not showing in Skype Business, but is showing in Outlook and other Office 365 products. The reason is very simple. By default Skype for Business hides the picture. So you just have to check the option that says “Show my picture” under My Picture options. This could be a trivial issue. To hide your picture from other users, see the previous section. In the Skype for Business main window, click the Options button, and then click Personal. In Personal options, under Show pictures, clear the Show pictures of contacts check box.
Hide everyone else's photos. Click on your picture in the main window. Select Personal. Under Show pictures, uncheck Show Pictures of contacts. In Skype for Business, your photo is the same one as your Office 365 profile picture. This means your photo here shows up in other Office programs you use, like Outlook. To add or change your photo, click your picture in the main window, or click the avatar if you don't have one set.
The Options box opens in the My Picture section. Click the Edit or Remove Picture button. This will launch your My account page in your Office 365 account. Click the Upload photo link, and then browse to the picture you want to use. Any size and resolution is fine. Select the file you want, and then click Save.
Now, your contacts can see your beautiful face. Maybe you want to hide your photo. Or hide everyone else's.
In the main window, click your picture. Next, click Hide my picture and click OK. Your picture is hidden. To hide everyone else's photos—so you can focus more on the text—select Personal. Under Show pictures, uncheck Show pictures of contacts. And click OK. The photos are hidden.
But for now, let's keep everyone's faces visible. Looking good! Now you're ready to put your best face forward on Skype for Business.
You can add your own photo as a profile picture if you wish.
