I am working on a lengthy document. I need to have this information in the HEADER: Author, chapter #, page # OF THE CHAPTER And in the FOOTER: Consecutive document page numbers I have used section breaks effectively, so the headers work perfectly but, when I insert page number in the footer, linked to the previous section to get consecutive numbering throughout the document, the chapter (or section, if you will) numbering in the header changes to mimic the consecutive numbering of the footer. Is there a way to 'unlink' the different headers from a global footer?
Thank you in advance for any enlightenment you can provide.
